It’s been awhile since I posted. “The Sensuous Senator” was a smash hit! Great audiences for every show, and they howled with laughter. I can’t believe it’s been over a month since it closed. On to the next. I’m in rehearsal for “Hot Nights for the War Wives of Ithaka,” which will be the premier of a new play by Christopher Buehlman, at Jobsite Theatre in Tampa at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. We open on Thursday, March 8. You can purchase your tickets by going to the website for the Straz Center.

Sad to say Cellmates is over for now. It looks like other theatres around the country (world) will have an opportunity to perform this fabulous play, as our playwright is submitting it for publication. I wish him the best! Our audiences were teriffic! Thanks to all who came out to support us!

This is a friendly reminder to the deaf and hard of hearing community in Florida, Central Florida and Tampa Bay–our Sunday matinee on July 3, 2011 will be interpreted by Lily the Love Frog, Inc. and Friends for the deaf and hard of hearing community. The show begins at 4:00 p.m. Today at the Gay Pride event in St. Petersburg, our playwright and director, Joseph Alan Johnson, met some deaf gay men who had just moved to town, and they were thrilled to hear about our signed performance! Please spread the word. As I’ve been told, there aren’t too many theatre groups that regularly provide this valuable aid for the deaf and hard of hearing community. We want to see this Sunday show sold out!

Well, it’s interesting to see that Tampabay .com tb-two Things-to-Do blog has mentioned Cellmate Confessions as one of the top ten things to see this summer–in the same breath as Katy Perry and Mama Mia! We are number 5 on their list, Katy Perry is number 3 and Natasha Bedingfield is number 4!! Our show is even listed before Mama Mia, which is number 8 on the list! Whoo hoo everyone! This is cool. Yes, this show will salivate your senses and leave you laughing, cringing and breathless at the same time!!

The fabulous “Cellmate Confessions” TV spot is scheduled to start running on local Tampa Bay Cable channels within the next two weeks! While watching your favorite shows on the most popular channels, you will be mesmerized by our TV spot (which appears here on my website), but will be even MORE haunting on the big screen! We are gearing up for the big show, so make your plans now to buy your tickets. Hopefully you will be in town for the big July 4th weekend, and once you’ve had enough of the sun, sand and hot dogs and hamburgers, take some time off to see a great show!
